Similar but a step up from the Encore, the Baratza Virtuoso+ features a 40mm steel conical burr set made by Etzinger, out in Lichtenstein. The grinder is assembled in Taiwan, and available in one color scheme: black and brushed stainless. It is extra durable, capable, and reliable.

This grinder is capable of grinding at a seriously good level of consistency, but at nearly 2 x the speed of the Encore. The burr set can handle an array of brew methods, with optimal performance in the particle size range typical of ‘filter’ coffees: french press, aeropress, pourover, drip, syphon, cold brew. Meaning, your grind particle size distribution will be most favorable when set to grind at those ranges. Doesn’t mean you can’t try to grind espresso/turkish with this; just means it might not be the best tool to do so. Chat with us for some tips on setting up your Baratza for a finer grind range.

Most orders will drop ship directly from Baratza. All grinders include a 1-yr warranty, which also covers shipping of the problematic grinder back to Baratza. To ensure you’re not without a grinder, Baratza will send you a replacement grinder together with a prepaid shipping label. When outside of the warranty period, Baratza’s support for and instructionals on repairing their grinders live on. We all want to keep these small appliances out of the landfill. Product lifecycle, everybody!

Standard Olilu disclaimer for all equipment: Avoid using coffees that have been flavored with flavor oils. It will be exceedingly difficult to remove such oils from your equipment if you do. Instead, we’re happy to roast up some coffees that exude those same flavors you might want in a coffee! Just let us know in a CRC what you’re looking for.
